W.T. White Class of 1983 30 Year Reunion Recap

If you missed the W.T. White Class of 1983 30 year reunion, you missed out big-time! The entire event from start to finish was a huge success thanks to all of you who attended and to the reunion committee volunteers as well for their hard work back in 2013.

The Friday Night Ice-Breaker event was held at The Katy Trail Ice House Outpost in Plano, Texas and hosted for us by a great friend Joe Tillitson who left this world to be with the Lord recently, Joe is certainly missed. The Ice Breaker was a smashing success everyone had a fabulous time and we had a great turnout. Despite some hot temperatures we had 160 classmates turn out and all had a wonderful time. We ended up taking over pretty much the entire venue by 10p. Everyone had a great time getting together and catching up as we had not seen everyone as a group since the 20 year reunion. Plenty to eat and drink, having fun and keeping cool were the priorities that Friday evening.

Saturday began unofficially with a few groups getting together for lunch, golf, tennis and such however most were likely resting for the Saturday Gala event. The Saturday Reunion Celebration was held at the Dallas World Aquarium which is located near the Historic West End in downtown Dallas. The party began at 7:30 PM, we had a crowd of about 150 of our classmates and what a fantastic venue it was including two full service bars, a full dinner with all the sides, live DJ, dancing, awards, slideshow presentation, and just lots of fun for all. We had the run of virtually the entire facility so there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. Classmate Jay Hoffman was our Master of Ceremonies for the evening keeping everything on schedule including presentations to distinguished classmates, the class video presentation and a memorial to classmates lost.

Following the Reunion Gala, most of those attending walked a block over and hit The West End Pub and closed it down around 2a. We all had a fantastic time there as well.

Again thanks to everyone from the WTW Class of 1983 and all the hosts for making the 30 year reunion one to remember. Remember the 40 year class reunion is coming soon so please be sure to attend, you certainly will not want to miss this one so buy your tickets today!
